Joshua 19
19
1 THE SECOND lot fell to Simeon, to the tribe of the Simeonites according to their families; and their inheritance lay within that of the people of Judah.
2 And they had for their inheritance: Beersheba or Sheba, Moladah,
3 Hazarshual, Balah, Ezem,
4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah,
6 Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen; [making] thirteen cities and their villages;
7 Ain [with] Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan; [making] four cities and their villages;
8 And all the villages around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, or Ramah of the Negeb. This was the possession of the Simeonites according to their families.
9 Out of the part assigned to the Judahites was the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon, for the portion of the tribe of Judah was too large for them. Therefore the tribe of Simeon had its inheritance in the midst of Judah's inheritance.
10 The third lot came up for the tribe of Zebulun according to their families. The border of its inheritance extended to Sarid.
11 Then its boundary went up westward and on to Maralah and reached to Dabbesheth and to the brook east of Jokneam.
12 And it turned from Sarid eastward to the border of Chisloth-tabor and it went out to Daberath and on up to Japhia,
13 Then passed eastward to Gath-hepher [Jonah's birthplace] and to Eth-kazin, and went on to Rimmon bending toward Neah.
14 The boundary circled on the north to Hannathon, ending at the Valley of Iphtah-el.
15 Included were Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem; twelve cities with their villages.
16 This is the inheritance of the people of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.
17 The fourth lot fell to Issachar, to its people according to their families.
18 Their territory included: Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,
19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez.
22 The boundary reached to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and ended at the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages.
23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.
24 The fifth lot fell to the tribe of Asher according to their families.
25 Their territory included: Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,
26 Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal; and on the west it touched Carmel and Shihor-libnath.
27 Then it turned eastward to Beth-dagon, touching Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah-el northward to Beth-emek and Neiel, and continued in the north to Cabul,
28 Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even to populous Sidon.
29 Then the boundary turned to Ramah, reaching to the fortified city of Tyre; and it turned to Hosah, and ended at the sea–Mahalab, Achzib,
30 Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob; twenty-two cities with their villages.
31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.
32 The sixth lot fell to the tribe of Naphtali according to their families.
33 Their boundary ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel as far as Lakkum; and it ended at the Jordan.
34 Then the boundary turned westward to Aznoth-tabor and went from there to Hukkok, touching Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west, and Judah on the east at the Jordan.
35 The fortified cities included Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,
36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
37 Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor,
38 Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh; nineteen cities and their villages.
39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages.
40 And the seventh lot fell to the tribe of Dan according to their families.
41 The territory of their inheritance included: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh,
42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon,
46 Me-jarkon, and Rakkon, with the territory before Joppa.
47 The territory of the tribe of Dan had to be extended [because of the crowding in of the Amorites and Philistines]; so the sons of Dan went up to fight against Leshem (Laish) and took it and smote it with the sword and possessed it and dwelt there, and they called Leshem (Laish) Dan after Dan their [forefather]. [Judg. 1:34; 18:7-10, 27.]
48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.
49 When they had finished dividing the land for inheritance by their boundaries, the Israelites gave an inheritance among them to Joshua son of Nun.
50 According to the word of the Lord they gave him the city for which he asked–Timnath-serah in the hills of Ephraim. And he built the city and dwelt in it.
51 These are the inheritances which Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of Israel distributed by lot in Shiloh before the Lord at the door of the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing the land.

Joshua 19
19
Simeon
1The second lot fell to Simeon. The legacy of the clans of the Simeonite tribe lay inside the legacy of the people of Judah. 2They had in their legacy: Beer-sheba, Sheba, Moladah, 3Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem, 4Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, 5Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah, 6Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen. In total: thirteen cities and their surrounding areas. 7Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan. In total: four cities and their surrounding areas. 8In addition were all the areas that surround these cities as far as Baalath-beer and Ramah of the arid southern plain. This is the legacy of the clans of the Simeonite tribe. 9Some of the portion of the people of Judah belonged to the legacy of the people of Simeon. This was because the portion of the people of Judah was too large for them. So the people of Simeon received a legacy inside Judah’s legacy.
Zebulun
10The lot turned up third for the clans of Zebulun. The border of their legacy ran as far as Sarid. 11Their border went up westward to Maralah, touched Dabbesheth, and touched the ravine that is opposite Jokneam. 12It reversed from Sarid eastward toward the east to the border of Chisloth-tabor. It went to Daberath and then up to Japhia. 13From there it passed on the east side, running eastward to Gath-hepher and Eth-kazin. Going to Rimmon, it bent toward Neah. 14The border turned north of Hannathon and ended at the Iphtah-el Valley. 15They also owned Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem; in total: twelve cities and their surrounding areas. 16These cities and their surrounding areas are the legacy of Zebulun’s clans.
Issachar
17The lot went out fourth for the clans of Issachar. 18Their border ran toward Jezreel. They also owned Chesulloth, Shunem, 19Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, 20Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, 21Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez. 22The border touched Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh. Their border ended at the Jordan; in total: sixteen cities with their surrounding areas. 23These cities and their surrounding areas are the legacy for the clans of the Issachar tribe.
Asher
24The lot went out fifth for the clans of the tribe of Asher. 25Their border included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph, 26Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. It touched Carmel on the west and Shihor-libnath. 27The border reversed eastward to Beth-dagon. It touched Zebulun and the Iphtah-el Valley on the north, also Beth-emek and Neiel. It went to Cabul on the north, 28as far as Great Sidon. They also owned Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah. 29The border turned around to Ramah as far as the fortified city of Tyre. The border turned around to Hosah and ended at the sea. They also owned Mahalab,#19.29 LXX; MT Mehebel Achzib, 30Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob; in total: twenty-two cities and their surrounding areas. 31These cities and their surrounding areas are the legacy for the clans of the Asher tribe.
Naphtali
32For the people of Naphtali, the lot went out sixth. For the clans of Naphtali 33their border ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel as far as Lakkum. It ended at the Jordan. 34The border reversed westward to Aznoth-tabor. It went from there to Hukkok. It touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west, and Judah at the Jordan on the east. 35They also owned the fortified cities Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth, 36Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, 37Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor, 38Iron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh; in total: nineteen cities and their surrounding areas. 39These cities and their surrounding areas are the legacy for the clans of the Naphtali tribe.
Dan
40The lot went out seventh for the clans of the Danite tribe. 41The territory of their legacy was Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh, 42Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, 43Elon, Timnah, Ekron, 44Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, 45Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon, 46Me-jarkon, and Rakkon, along with the territory opposite Joppa. 47But the territory of the people of Dan was lost to them. So the people of Dan went up and attacked Leshem and captured it. They struck it down without mercy. They took it over and settled it. Then they named Leshem as Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor. 48These cities and their surrounding areas are the legacy for the clans of the Danite tribe.
Legacy for Joshua
49So when they finished assigning the borders of the land, the Israelites gave to Joshua, Nun’s son, a legacy among them. 50By the LORD’s command, they gave him the city that he asked for. This was Timnath-serah in the highlands of Ephraim. He built a city and lived in it. 51These are the legacies that Eleazar the priest, Joshua, Nun’s son, and the heads of the families of the Israelite tribes assigned by lot at Shiloh. They did this before the LORD at the entrance of the meeting tent and finished dividing up the land.
