Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, an end of a relationship, sickness, or a seemingly unfulfilled promise, pain and suffering affect us all. Is God close to the brokenhearted? If so, how should we respond in these times? This plan will walk through the journeys of different people in the Bible who walked through disappointment and see how their pain drew them closer to God.

Dr. Clinton examines science, psychology, physiology, and other concepts to help you cope with anxiety, but the primary focus is on the consistency of God’s power, goodness, and love. Clinton adds, “It’s my prayer that as you continue reading, you’ll increasingly sense God’s peace for your mind and hope for your heart.”

There's no doubt about it; if you're alive, you will experience suffering. Perhaps you're in a time of suffering right now and feel as though God has disappeared. Maybe you're questioning why God allows suffering at all. Take heart; God walks with you through your darkest valley and gives you His fatherly comfort. He knows what you're experiencing and promises great gain and future glory when you suffer.
