A Night Prayer

1Answer me when I call,
God, who vindicates me. # Or God of my righteousness # Ps 7:8; 26:1; 35:24
You freed me from affliction; # Ps 25:17; 107:6,13
be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
2How long, exalted men, will my honor be insulted? # Ps 69:7-10,19-20
How long will you love what is worthless # Ps 12:2
and pursue a lie?Selah
3Know that the Lord has set apart
the faithful for Himself;
the Lord will hear when I call to Him.
4Be angry # Or Tremble and do not sin; # Eph 4:26
on your bed, reflect in your heart and be still. # Ps 77:6; 119:55Selah

6Many are saying, “Who can show us anything good? ”
Look on us with favor, Lord. # Ps 80:3
7You have put more joy in my heart
than they have when their grain and new wine abound. # Is 9:3
