Psalms 70
70
Psalm 70#70:0 Psalm 70 is virtually identical in wording to Psalm 40:13–17.
For the choir director; by David; to be kept in mind.
1Come quickly to rescue me, O God!
Come quickly to help me, O Lord!
2Let those who seek my life
be confused and put to shame.
Let those who want my downfall
be turned back and disgraced.
3Let those who say, “Aha! Aha!”
be turned back because of their own shame.
4Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad because of you.
Let those who love your salvation continually say,
“God is great!”
5But I am oppressed and needy.
O God, come to me quickly.
You are my help and my savior.
O Lord, do not delay!

My Help and My Deliverer
1For the music director, of David, for a memorial.
2O God, come quickly to deliver me, Adonai, to help me.
3May they be put to shame and disgrace who seek my life. May they be turned back in humiliation who delight in my hurt.
4May those who say, “Aha! Aha!” be turned away because of their shame.
5But may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You. May those who love Your salvation always say, “Let God be magnified.”
6But I am poor and needy— God, come quickly to me. You are my help and my deliverer— Adonai, do not delay.
