Psalms 25
25
Psalm 25#25:0 Psalm 25 is a poem in Hebrew alphabetical order.
By David.
1To you, O Lord, I lift my soul.
2I trust you, O my God.
Do not let me be put to shame.
Do not let my enemies triumph over me.
3No one who waits for you will ever be put to shame,
but all who are unfaithful will be put to shame.
4Make your ways known to me, O Lord,
and teach me your paths.
5Lead me in your truth and teach me
because you are God, my savior.
I wait all day long for you.
6Remember, O Lord, your compassionate and merciful deeds.
They have existed from eternity.
7Do not remember the sins of my youth or my rebellious ways.
Remember me, O Lord, in keeping with your mercy and your goodness.
8The Lord is good and decent.
That is why he teaches sinners the way they should live.
9He leads humble people to do what is right,
and he teaches them his way.
10Every path of the Lord is ⌞one of⌟ mercy and truth
for those who cling to his promise #25:10 Or “covenant.” and written instructions.
11For the sake of your name, O Lord,
remove my guilt, because it is great.
12Who, then, is this person that fears the Lord?
He is the one whom the Lord will teach which path to choose.
13He will enjoy good things in life,
and his descendants will inherit the land.
14The Lord advises those who fear him.
He reveals to them the intent of his promise.
15My eyes are always on the Lord.
He removes my feet from traps.
16Turn to me, and have pity on me.
I am lonely and oppressed.
17Relieve my troubled heart,
and bring me out of my distress.
18Look at my misery and suffering,
and forgive all my sins.
19See how my enemies have increased in number,
how they have hated me with vicious hatred!
20Protect my life, and rescue me!
Do not let me be put to shame.
I have taken refuge in you.
21Integrity and honesty will protect me because I wait for you.
22Rescue Israel, O God, from all its troubles!

PSALM 25
A Psalm of David.
1Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul. 2My God#GodHebrew: Elohim I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. 3Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause. 4Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths. 5Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God#GodHebrew: Elohim of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 6Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting. 7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.
8Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way: 9The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way. 10All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 12What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. 13His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.
15Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net. 16Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted. 17The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses; 18Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins. 19Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred. 20Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee. 21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 22Redeem Israel, O God#GodHebrew: Elohim out of all his troubles.
