Psalms 20
20
Psalm 20
For the choir director; a psalm by David.
1The Lord will answer you in times of trouble.
The name of the God of Jacob will protect you.
2He will send you help from his holy place
and support you from Zion.
3He will remember all your grain offerings
and look with favor on your burnt offerings. Selah
4He will give you your heart’s desire
and carry out all your plans.
5We will joyfully sing about your victory.
We will wave our flags in the name of our God.
The Lord will fulfill all your requests.
6Now I know that the Lord will give victory to his anointed king.
He will answer him from his holy heaven
with mighty deeds of his powerful hand.
7Some ⌞rely⌟ on chariots and others on horses,
but we will boast in the name of the Lord our God.
8They will sink to their knees and fall,
but we will rise and stand firm.
9Give victory to the king, O Lord.
Answer us when we call.

Psalm 20
20
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble;
The name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
2Send thee help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen thee out of Zion;
3Remember all thy offerings,
And accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4Grant thee according to thine own heart,
And fulfil all thy counsel.
5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners:
The LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; He will hear him from his holy heaven
With the saving strength of his right hand.
7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
8They are brought down and fallen:
But we are risen, and stand upright.
9Save, LORD:
Let the king hear us when we call.
