Psalms 148

Psalm 148
1Hallelujah!
Praise the Lord from the heavens.
Praise him in the heights above.
2Praise him, all his angels.
Praise him, his entire heavenly army.
3Praise him, sun and moon.
Praise him, all shining stars.
4Praise him, you highest heaven
and the water above the sky.
5Let them praise the name of the Lord
because they were created by his command.
6He set them in their places forever and ever.
He made it a law that no one can break.
7Praise the Lord from the earth.
Praise him, large sea creatures and all the ocean depths,
8lightning and hail,
snow and fog,
strong winds that obey his commands,
9mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedar trees,
10wild animals and all domestic animals,
crawling animals and birds,
11kings of the earth and all its people,
officials and all judges on the earth,
12young men and women,
old and young together.
13Let them praise the name of the Lord
because his name is high above all others.
His glory is above heaven and earth.
14He has given his people a strong leader,#148:14 Or “given his people strength.”
someone praiseworthy for his faithful ones,
for the people of Israel, the people who are close to him.
Hallelujah!

Psalms 148
148
1I Praise ye the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD from the heavens:
Praise him in the heights.
2Praise ye him, all his angels:
Praise ye him, all his host.
3Praise ye him, sun and moon;
Praise him, all ye stars of light.
4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens,
And ye waters that be above the heavens.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD:
For he commanded, and they were created.
6He hath also stablished them for ever and ever:
He hath made a decree which shall not pass away.
7Praise the LORD from the earth,
Ye dragons, and all deeps:
8Fire and hail, snow and vapour;
Stormy wind, fulfilling his word:
9Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars:
10Beasts and all cattle;
Creeping things and flying fowl:
11Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth:
12Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children:
13Let them praise the name of the LORD;
For his name alone is exalted:
His glory is above the earth and heaven.
14And he hath lifted up the horn of his people,
The praise of all his saints;
Even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him.
Praise ye the LORD.
