112
Psalm 112#112:0 Psalm 112 is a poem in Hebrew alphabetical order.
1Hallelujah!
Blessed is the person who fears the Lord
and is happy to obey his commands.
2His descendants will grow strong on the earth.
The family of a decent person will be blessed.
3Wealth and riches will be in his home.
His righteousness continues forever.
4Light will shine in the dark for a decent person.
He is merciful, compassionate, and fair.
5All goes well for the person who is generous and lends willingly.
He earns an honest living.
6He will never fail.
A righteous person will always be remembered.
7He is not afraid of bad news.
His heart remains secure, full of confidence in the Lord.
8His heart is steady, and he is not afraid.
In the end he will look triumphantly at his enemies.
9He gives freely to poor people.
His righteousness continues forever.
His head is raised in honor.
10The wicked person sees this and becomes angry.
He angrily grits his teeth and disappears.
The hope that wicked people have will vanish.

Psalms 112
112
Blessed is the Righteous Man
1Halleluyah! Happy is the man who fears Adonai, who delights greatly in His mitzvot.
2His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
4Light shines in the darkness for the upright. Gracious, compassionate and just is he.
5Good comes to a man who is gracious and lends. He will order his affairs with fairness.
6Surely he will never be shaken. The righteous are remembered forever.
7He is not afraid of bad news— his heart is steadfast, trusting in Adonai.
8His heart is secure, he will not fear— until he gazes on his foes.
9He gives freely to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn is lifted high in honor.
10The wicked will see it and be indignant. He will gnash with his teeth and waste away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
