Placing the Lamps

Ex 25.31-40; 37.17-24 The Lord said to Moses, 2“Tell Aaron that when he puts the seven lamps on the lampstand, he should place them so that the light shines toward the front.” 3Aaron obeyed and placed the lamps facing the front of the lampstand. 4From top to bottom the lampstand was made of hammered gold, according to the pattern that the Lord had shown Moses.
The Purification and Dedication of the Levites
5The Lord said to Moses, 6“Separate the Levites from the rest of the people of Israel and purify them 7in the following way: sprinkle them with the water of purification and have them shave their whole bodies and have them wash their clothes. Then they will be ritually clean. 8Then they are to take a young bull and the required grain offering of flour mixed with olive oil; and you are to take another bull for the sin offering. 9Then assemble the whole community of Israel and have the Levites stand in front of the Tent of my presence. 10The people of Israel are to place their hands on the heads of the Levites, 11and then Aaron shall dedicate the Levites to me as a special gift from the Israelites, so that they may do my work. 12The Levites shall then put their hands on the heads of the two bulls; one is to be offered as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, in order to perform the ritual of purification for the Levites.
13“Dedicate the Levites as a special gift to me, and put Aaron and his sons in charge of them. 14Separate the Levites in this way from the rest of the Israelites, so that they will belong to me. 15After you have purified and dedicated the Levites, they will be qualified to work in the Tent. 16I have claimed them in the place of all the first-born sons of the Israelites, and they belong to me alone. 17#Ex 13.2 When I killed all the first-born in Egypt, I consecrated as my own the oldest son of each Israelite family and the first-born of every animal. 18I am now taking the Levites instead of all the first-born of the Israelites, 19and I assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons, as a gift from the Israelites, to work in the Tent for the people of Israel and to protect the Israelites from the disaster that would strike them if they came too near the Holy Place.”
20So Moses, Aaron, and all the people of Israel dedicated the Levites, as the Lord commanded Moses. 21The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron dedicated them as a special gift to the Lord. He also performed the ritual of purification for them. 22The people did everything the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites. And so the Levites were qualified to work in the Tent under Aaron and his sons.
23The Lord said to Moses, 24“From the age of twenty-five each Levite shall perform his duties in the Tent of my presence, 25and at the age of fifty he shall retire. 26After that, he may help his fellow Levites in performing their duties in the Tent, but he must not perform any service by himself. This is how you are to regulate the duties of the Levites.”

1Jawmiraawo umri Muusa, 2o wi'a Haruna ni'i: “To a ɗon jo'ina pittirlaaji joweeɗiɗi dow jo'inirɗum maaji, jo'in ɗi haa ɗi njayna yeeso maaji.” 3Haruna waɗi bana non. O jo'ini ɗi haa ɗi njayna yeeso jo'inirɗum maaji bana no Jawmiraawo umrino Muusa. 4Jo'inirɗum pittirlaaji kuuwraaɗum bee kaŋŋeeri ɗuuɗndi, diga jooɗorɗum man haa yotti pinndi man fuu. Ɗum baɗaaɗum bee kaŋŋeeri tappaandi, ɓe mbaɗi ɗum fodde misaalu mo Jawmiraawo holli Muusa nder wahayu.

5Jawmiraawo wi'i Muusa: 6“Senndu Lewi'en bee Isra'iila'en woɗɓe, sen ɓe 7bana ni'i: Wiccu ndiyam ittirɗam hakkeeji dow maɓɓe, ɓe laɓa gaasa ɓalli maɓɓe fuu, ɓe loota limce maɓɓe boo, ɓe cena ko'e maɓɓe. 8Nden ɓe koo'a ngaari kalhaldi, bee dokkal nyaamdu maari e kuroori njiiɓaandi bee nebbam. An boo, hoo'u ngaari ɗiɗawri kirseteendi ngam ittuki hakkeeji. 9Nden ɓaditin Lewi'en yeeso laymaaru fottirde e mooɓtu jama'aare Isra'iila fuu. 10Ɓaditin Lewi'en yeeso am, Isra'iila'en boo njowa juuɗe muuɗum'en dow ko'e Lewi'en. 11Lewi'en hoo'aaɓe nder Isra'iila'en ɓe'e, Haruna lii'o ɓe yeeso am bana dokkal cenaaŋgal haa ɓe njaggano yam. 12Nden Lewi'en njowa juuɗe muuɗum'en dow ko'e ga'i kalhali go. Haruna taaskitina ngoori kirseteendi ngam ittuki hakkeeji, ngoori boo nguleteendi ngam am, ngam haa Lewi'en keɓra yaafuye.
13Darnu Lewi'en yeeso Haruna e ɓiɓɓe mum, ɓe laato dokkal cenaaŋgal ngam am. 14Senndu ɓe bee Isra'iila'en woɗɓe, nii non Lewi'en, min jeyi. 15Ɓaawo man Lewi'en ngaran, kuuwan nder laymaaru fottirde. Nii non cenirta ɓe, ɓe laatoto dokkal cenaaŋgal ngam am. 16Ɓe laatanto yam dokkal caka Isra'iila'en. Mi jaɓi ɓe mbattudi afɓe Isra'iila'en fuu, mbattudi kala afo daada mum fuu. 17Ngam ko aarti danyeego fuu, min jeyi. Nyannde nde mi mbari afɓe fuu nder lesdi Misra, mi seni afɓe Isra'iila'en e afi dabbaaji muuɗum'en ngam am. 18Jonta mi hoo'i Lewi'en mbattudi afɓe Isra'iila'en. 19Caka Isra'iila'en, mi hokki Haruna e ɓiɓɓe mum Lewi'en, haa ɓe kuuwana Isra'iila'en nder laymaaru fottirde, ɓe cuklano joɓki hakkeeji Isra'iila'en boo, ngam taa masiibo waɗa caka maɓɓe, to ɓe ɓaditake suudu seniindu.”
20Muusa e Haruna e jama'aare Isra'iila fuu mbaɗani Lewi'en kal-kal bana Jawmiraawo umruno Muusa. Isra'iila'en mbaɗani ɓe ɗum. 21Lewi'en laɓɓini ko'e muuɗum'en, looti limce muuɗum'en. Haruna seni ɓe ngam Jawmiraawo, bana dokkal cenaaŋgal. Nden o heɓni ɓe yaafuye, o laɓɓini ɓe. 22Ɓaawo man Lewi'en puɗɗi huuwugo nder laymaaru fottirde, dow ardaaŋgal Haruna e ɓiɓɓe mum bana Jawmiraawo umruno Muusa dow Lewi'en. Ɓe mbaɗani ɓe non.
23Jawmiraawo wi'i Muusa: 24“Ndaa umroore dow Lewi'en: To goɗɗo lenyol Lewi waɗi duuɓi noogas e jowi, o fuɗɗa huuwugo nder laymaaru fottirde. 25To o waɗi duuɓi cappanɗe jowi, o wurto kuugal man, o acca ngal. 26O wallan banndiraaɓe maako huuwanɓe nder laymaaru fottirde, ammaa taa o huuwa kuugal man bee hoore maako. Nii non njo'inirta Lewi'en dow kuuɗe maɓɓe.”
