Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord
A Psalm.
1Oh sing to the Lord #See Ps. 33:3 a new song,
for he has done #[Ps. 96:3]; Ps. 72:18 marvelous things!
His #[Ex. 15:6; Luke 1:51]; See Job 40:14right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2The Lord has #Isa. 49:6; 52:10; Luke 2:30, 31; [Isa. 59:16; 63:5] made known his salvation;
he has #Isa. 62:2; Rom. 3:25, 26 revealed his righteousness in #Ps. 96:2, 3the sight of the nations.
3He has #Luke 1:54, 72 remembered his #See Ps. 36:5 steadfast love and faithfulness
to the house of Israel.
All #Ps. 22:27 the ends of the earth have seen
# ver. 2 the salvation of our God.
4 # See Ps. 66:1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;

Isa. 44:23
break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
5Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,
with the lyre and the #Isa. 51:3sound of melody!
6With #Num. 10:10; 1 Chr. 15:24 trumpets and the sound of #2 Chr. 15:14 the horn
# [See ver. 4 above] make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!
7 #
Ps. 96:11 Let the sea roar, and #Ps. 24:1all that fills it;
#
Ps. 24:1
the world and those who dwell in it!
8Let the rivers #Isa. 55:12; [Ps. 93:3] clap their hands;
let #Ps. 89:12the hills sing for joy together
9before the Lord, for he comes
to #Ps. 96:13; See Ps. 58:11judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
and the peoples with equity.

A song of praise.
1Sing a new song#98:1 new song Whenever God did a new and wonderful thing for his people, they would write a new song about it. to the Lord,
because he has done amazing things!
His powerful and holy right arm#98:1 holy right arm This pictures God as a warrior-king. The right arm symbolizes his power and authority. “Holy” may refer to the special cleansing and dedication that Israelites performed before going into battle.
has brought him another victory.
2The Lord showed the nations his power to save.
He showed them his goodness.
3He has kept his promise of love and loyalty to the people of Israel.
People everywhere have seen our God’s power to save.
4Everyone on earth, shout with joy to the Lord.
Start singing happy songs of praise!
5Praise the Lord with harps.
Yes, praise him with music from the harps.
6Blow the pipes and horns,
and shout for joy to the Lord our King!
7Let the sea and everything in it,
the earth and all who live in it shout his praise!
8Rivers, clap your hands!
All together now, mountains sing out!
9Sing before the Lord
because he is coming to judge the world.
He will rule the world fairly.
He will rule the people with goodness.
