God Is King over All the Earth

2 Kgs. 11:12; Isa. 55:12; Nah. 3:19 Clap your hands, all peoples!

Ps. 95:1; [1 Sam. 10:24] Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
2For the Lord, the Most High, #Ps. 66:3, 5; 68:35; Deut. 7:21 is to be feared,
#
Mal. 1:14
a great king over all the earth.
3He #See Ps. 18:47subdued peoples under us,
and nations under our feet.
4He chose our #Ps. 2:8; [1 Pet. 1:4] heritage for us,
#
Amos 6:8; 8:7; Nah. 2:2 the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
5God #2 Sam. 6:15; [Ps. 68:18]has gone up with a shout,
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7For God is #Zech. 14:9 the King of all the earth;
sing praises #1 Cor. 14:15with a psalm!#47:7 Hebrew maskil
8God #Ps. 22:28; 1 Chr. 16:31reigns over the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
9 # [Ps. 72:11; Isa. 49:7, 23] The princes of the peoples gather
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For #Ps. 89:18the shields of the earth belong to God;
he is highly exalted!

For the choir director: A psalm of the descendants of Korah.
1Come, everyone! Clap your hands!
Shout to God with joyful praise!
2For the Lord Most High is awesome.
He is the great King of all the earth.
3He subdues the nations before us,
putting our enemies beneath our feet.
4He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance,
the proud possession of Jacob’s descendants, whom he loves. Interlude
5God has ascended with a mighty shout.
The Lord has ascended with trumpets blaring.
6Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7For God is the King over all the earth.
Praise him with a psalm.#47:7 Hebrew maskil. This may be a literary or musical term.
8God reigns above the nations,
sitting on his holy throne.
9The rulers of the world have gathered together
with the people of the God of Abraham.
For all the kings of the earth belong to God.
He is highly honored everywhere.
