Psalm 108
108
With God We Shall Do Valiantly
A Song. A Psalm of David.
1 # For ver. 1-5, see Ps. 57:7-11 My heart is steadfast, O God!
I will sing and make melody with all my being!#108:1 Hebrew with my glory
2Awake, O harp and lyre!
I will awake the dawn!
3I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
4For your steadfast love is great #[Ps. 113:4]above the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!
6 # For ver. 6-13, see Ps. 60:5-12 That your beloved ones may be delivered,
give salvation by your right hand and answer me!
7God has promised in his holiness:#108:7 Or sanctuary
“With exultation I will divide up Shechem
and portion out the Valley of Succoth.
8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is my helmet,
Judah my scepter.
9Moab is my washbasin;
upon Edom I cast my shoe;
# [Ps. 60:8] over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
10Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
11Have you not rejected us, O God?
You do not go out, O God, with our armies.
12Oh grant us help against the foe,
for vain is the salvation of man!
13With God we shall do valiantly;
it is he who will tread down our foes.

Psalms 108
108
A Song, a Psalm Of David.
1My heart is fixed, O God;
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises, even with my glory.
2Awake, psaltery and harp:
I myself will awake right early.
3I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the peoples:
And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4For thy mercy is great above the heavens,
And thy truth reacheth unto the skies.
5Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
And thy glory above all the earth.
6That thy beloved may be delivered,
Save with thy right hand, and answer us.
7God hath spoken in his holiness; I will exult:
I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is the defence of mine head;
Judah is my sceptre.
9Moab is my washpot;
Upon Edom will I cast my shoe:
Over Philistia will I shout.
10Who will bring me into the fenced city?
Who hath led me unto Edom?
11Hast not thou cast us off, O God?
And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.
12Give us help against the adversary:
For vain is the help of man.
13Through God we shall do valiantly:
For he it is that shall tread down our adversaries.
