Genesis 22:1-31

The God Provides series offers a rich, dramatic journey through theater-quality, short films which show us wisdom, truth, encouragement and practical steps to deepen a relationship of trust with God. This session highlights the true story of Abraham and Isaac, his son. God used this test of obedience to see whether or not Abraham trusted Him fully and would, in faith, obediently make everything he had available for God’s use.

Abraham was a man who found himself tested by God. By passing his various tests of faith, Abraham proved himself to be someone who fully trusted in God. Bestselling author Tony Evans reminds us that we will all be faced with tests, even if they are not as extreme as those Abraham went through. But as they did for him, so they offer us an opportunity for growth.

Are you willing to fully trust God, even if it meant giving up your most prized possessions? Through the story of Abraham, we’ll explore the blessings that come with surrendering everything to God and trusting in His provision – and how the results of our obedience are far greater than anything we could hold onto. The names of God are one of the most beautiful, yet often overlooked, part of scripture. When we call upon the names of God as generations have before us, we address Him in such a way that reveals what we need in that particular moment. Join us on a 3-day journey of studying the names of God, specifically mentioned in the song "Names" from Ben Laine.
