What exactly is an idol, and how do we define idolatry today? When we worship things or persons that turn our attention away from God, they can become our "Golden Calf" and rob God of His glory and us of our salvation. This plan takes a closer look at idols of the past and examines present-day idolatry.

When we try to find the central theme of the Bible, we might not immediately think of ‘trees’. But when we take a closer look, trees are mentioned quite often! Not as main characters or major topics, but they are frequently used as metaphors or symbolic representations of important truths.
