2 Timothy 1
1
1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, according to the promise of life, which is in Christ Jesus.
2To Timothy my dearly beloved son, grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord.
3I give thanks to God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that without ceasing, I have a remembrance of thee in my prayers, night and day.
4Desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy,
5Calling to mind that faith which is in thee unfeigned, which also dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am certain that in thee also.
6For which cause I admonish thee, that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee, by the imposition of my hands.
7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of sobriety.
8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but labour with the gospel, according to the power of God,
9Who hath delivered us and called us by his holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the times of the world.
10But is now made manifest by the illumination of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath destroyed death, and hath brought to light life and incorruption by the gospel:
11Wherein I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and teacher of the Gentiles.
12For which cause I also suffer these things: but I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed, and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day.
13Hold the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me in faith, and in the love which is in Christ Jesus.
14Keep the good thing committed to thy trust by the Holy Ghost, who dwelleth in us.
15Thou knowest this, that all they who are in Asia, are turned away from me: of whom are Phigellus and Hermogenes.
16The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus: because he hath often refreshed me, and hath not been ashamed of my chain:
17But when he was come to Rome, he carefully sought me, and found me.
18The Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou very well knowest.

2 Timothy 1
1
Greeting
1Paul, an emissary of Messiah Yeshua through the will of God, according to the promise of life in Messiah Yeshua.
2To Timothy my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and shalom from God the Father and Messiah Yeshua our Lord!
Stir up God’s Charisma in You
3I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience as my forefathers did, when I continually remember you in my prayers night and day.
4I remember your tears, and I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy.
5I recall the genuine faithfulness within you, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure it is within you as well.
6For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7For God has not given us a spirit of timidity but of power and love and self-discipline.
Suffer with Me—for the Good News!
8Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but share in suffering for the Good News according to the power of God.
9He has saved us and called us with a holy calling— not because of our deeds but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Messiah Yeshua before time began,
10but now has been revealed through the appearing of our Savior Messiah Yeshua. Indeed, He nullified the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the Good News.
11For this Good News I was appointed a herald and an emissary and a teacher.
12For this reason I also am suffering these things—but I am not ashamed, for I know in whom I have trusted and I am convinced He is able to safeguard what I have entrusted to Him until that Day.
13Keep the standard of sound words you have heard from me, in the faithfulness and love that are in Messiah Yeshua.
14Guard the good that has been entrusted to you, through the Ruach ha-Kodesh who dwells in us.
15You are aware that everyone in Asia has turned away from me—including Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my imprisonment.
17On the contrary, when he was in Rome he zealously searched for me and found me.
18May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord in that day! You know very well how much he served in Ephesus.
