1 Corinthians 5
5
1IT is absolutely heard, that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as the like is not among the heathens; that one should have his father's wife.
2And you are puffed up; and have not rather mourned, that he might be taken away from among you, that hath done this deed.
3I indeed, absent in body, but present in spirit, have already judged, as though I were present, him that hath so done,
4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus;
5To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
6Your glorying is not good. Know you not that a little leaven corrupteth the whole lump?
7Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new paste, as you are unleavened. For Christ our pasch is sacrificed.
8Therefore let us feast, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9I wrote to you in an epistle, not to keep company with fornicators.
10I mean not with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or the extortioners, or the servers of idols; otherwise you must needs go out of this world.
11But now I have written to you, not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother, be a fornicator, or covetous, or a server of idols, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner: with such a one, not so much as to eat.
12For what have I to do to judge them that are without? Do not you judge them that are within?
13For them that are without, God will judge. Put away the evil one from among yourselves.

Removing the “Hametz” from Your House
1It is actually reported that among you there is sexual immorality, and such immorality as is not even among the pagans—that someone has his father’s wife.
2And you are puffed up! Shouldn’t you have mourned instead, so that the one who did this deed might be removed from among you?
3For even though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit—I have already passed judgment on the one who has done this thing, as though I were present.
4When you are gathered together in the name of our Lord Yeshua, I am with you in spirit. With the power of our Lord Yeshua,
5you are to turn such a fellow over to satan for the destruction of his fleshly nature, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Yeshua.
6Your boasting is no good. Don’t you know that a little hametz leavens the whole batch of dough?
7Get rid of the old hametz, so you may be a new batch, just as you are unleavened—for Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed.
8Therefore let us celebrate the feast not with old hametz, the hametz of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened bread—the matzah of sincerity and truth.
9I wrote to you in my letter not to mix together with sexually immoral people—
10not at all meaning the sexually immoral people of this world or the greedy or swindlers or idolaters, for then you would have to exit the world.
11But now I am writing to you not to mix together with anyone who is being called a brother if he is sexually immoral or greedy or an idolater or a slanderer or a drunkard or a swindler—not even to eat with such a fellow.
12For what business do I have judging outsiders? Don’t you judge those who are inside?
13But those who are outside, God judges. Put away the wicked fellow from among yourselves.
