The Collection for the Saints
1 #
Rom 15.25,26. Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 3And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. 4And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
Plans for Travel

Acts 19.21. Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedo´nia: for I do pass through Macedo´nia. 6And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. 7For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. 8#Acts 19.8-10.#Lev 23.15-21; Deut 16.9-11. But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. 9For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

1 Cor 4.17. Now if Timothy come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. 11Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
12As touching our brother Apol´los, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
Final Greetings
13Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 14Let all your things be done with charity.

1 Cor 1.16. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Steph´anas, that it is the firstfruits of Achai´a, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) 16that ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboreth. 17I am glad of the coming of Steph´anas and Fortuna´tus and Acha´icus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. 18For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

Acts 18.2. The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 20All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with a holy kiss.
21The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. 22If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anath´ema, Maranath´a. 23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 24My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

The Collection for Believers in Judea
1Now, about the collection of money for God’s people: Do the same as I told the Galatian churches to do. 2On the first day of every week, each of you should take some of your money and put it in a special place. Save up as much as you can from what you are blessed with. Then you will not have to gather it all after I come. 3When I arrive, I will send some men to take your gift to Jerusalem. These will be the ones you all agree should go. I will send them with letters of introduction. 4If it seems good for me to go too, we can all travel together.
Paul’s Plans
5I plan to go through Macedonia, so I will come to you after that. 6Maybe I will stay with you for a time. I might even stay all winter. Then you can help me on my trip, wherever I go. 7I don’t want to come see you now, because I would have to leave to go to other places. I hope to stay a longer time with you, if the Lord allows it. 8But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost. 9I will stay here, because a good opportunity for a great and growing work has been given to me now. And there are many people working against it.
10Timothy might come to you. Try to make him feel comfortable with you. He is working for the Lord the same as I am. 11So none of you should refuse to accept Timothy. Help him continue on his trip in peace so that he can come back to me. I am expecting him to come back with the other brothers.
12Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly encouraged him to visit you with the other brothers. He prefers not to come now, but he will come when he has the opportunity.
Paul Ends His Letter
13Be careful. Hold firmly to your faith. Have courage and be strong. 14Do everything in love.
15You know that Stephanas and his family were the first believers in Achaia. They have given themselves to the service of God’s people. I ask you, brothers and sisters, 16to follow the leading of people like these and others who work hard and serve together with them.
17I am happy that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have come. You are not here, but they have filled your place. 18They have been a great encouragement to me and to you as well. You should recognize the value of such people.
19The churches in Asia send you their greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you in the Lord. Also the church that meets in their house sends greetings. 20All the brothers and sisters here send their greetings. Give each other the special greeting of God’s people.#16:20 the special greeting of God’s people Literally, “a holy kiss.”
21Here’s my greeting in my own handwriting—Paul.
22If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be separated from God—lost forever!
Come, O Lord!#16:22 Come, O Lord This is a translation of the Aramaic “marana tha.”
23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
24My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus.
