Revelation 11
11
1And there was given to me a reed like a staff, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship in it. 2And the court which is without the temple cast out, and measure it not; because it has been given up to the nations, and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty-two months.
3And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. 4These are the two olive trees and the two lamps which stand before the Lord of the earth; 5and if any one wills to injure them, fire goes out of their mouth, and devours their enemies. And if any one wills to injure them, thus must he be killed. 6These have power to shut the heaven that no rain may fall during the days of their prophecy; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth as often as they will with every plague. 7And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast who comes up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and shall conquer them, and shall kill them: 8and their body shall be on the street of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9And men of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations see their body three days and a half, and they do not suffer their bodies to be put into a sepulchre. 10And they that dwell upon the earth rejoice over them, and are full of delight, and shall send gifts one to another, because these, the two prophets, tormented them that dwell upon the earth. 11And after the three days and a half the spirit of life from God came into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those beholding them. 12And I heard a great voice out of the heaven saying to them, Come up here; and they went up to the heaven in the cloud, and their enemies beheld them. 13And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand names of men were slain in the earthquake. And the remnant were filled with fear, and gave glory to the God of the heaven.
14The second woe has passed; behold, the third woe comes quickly. 15And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet: and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world of our Lord and of his Christ is come, and he shall reign to the ages of ages. 16And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17saying, We give thee thanks, Lord God Almighty, He who is, and who was, that thou hast taken thy great power and hast reigned. 18And the nations have been full of wrath, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the recompense to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those who fear thy name, small and great; and to destroy those that destroy the earth. 19And the temple of God in the heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen in his temple: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The Two Witnesses
1#Rev 21:15; Eze 42:15–20I was given a reed like a measuring rod. The angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2#Lk 21:24; Rev 12:6; Da 7:25But exclude the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will trample on the Holy City for forty-two months. 3#Ge 37:34; Rev 11:2And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4#Ps 52:8; Jer 11:16These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.#Jer 51:45. 5#Jer 5:14; 2Ki 1:10–12If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way. 6#1Ki 17:1; Lk 4:25They have power to shut heaven, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every plague as often as they desire.
7#Rev 13:7; Da 7:25When they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends from the bottomless pit will wage war against them and overcome them and kill them. 8#Jer 23:14; Heb 13:12Their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9#Ps 79:2–3; Rev 10:11Those from every people and tribe and tongue and nation will see their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10#Rev 3:10; 1Ki 18:17Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
11#Ge 2:7After the three and a half days, the breath#Eze 37:5–14. of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12#Ac 1:9; 2Ki 2:11; Rev 4:1Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies watched them.
13#Rev 6:12; 14:7At that same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand men were killed in the earthquake, and the remnant were frightened and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14#Rev 8:13; 9:12The second woe is past. Listen, the third woe is coming quickly.
The Seventh Trumpet
15#Rev 12:10; Da 7:14; 7:27The seventh angel sounded, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying:
“The kingdoms of the world have become
the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ,
and He shall reign forever and ever.”
16#Rev 4:4; 4:10And the twenty-four elders, who sat before God on their thrones, fell on their faces and worshipped God, 17#Rev 1:8; 19:6; 1:4saying:
“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
who is and was and who is to come,
because You have taken Your great power
and begun to reign.
18#Rev 19:5; 20:12 The nations were angry,
and Your wrath has come,
and the time has come for the dead to be judged,
and to reward Your servants the prophets
and the saints and those who fear Your name,
small and great,
and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
19#Rev 16:21; 4:5Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there came lightning, noises, thundering, an earthquake, and great hail.
