PSALM 34
A Psalm of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.
1I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice. 3Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together. 4I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded. 6This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him! 9Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him. 10The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
11Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah. 12What man is he that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good? 13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile; 14Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. 15The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry; 16The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth: 17The righteous cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 18Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit. 19Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all: 20He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken. 21Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt. 22Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.

Tehillim (Psa) 34
34
1By David, when he pretended to be insane before Avimelekh, who then drove him away; so he left:
2I will bless Adonai at all times;
his praise will always be in my mouth.
3When I boast, it will be about Adonai;
the humble will hear of it and be glad.
4Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai;
let us exalt his name together.
5I sought Adonai, and he answered me;
he rescued me from everything I feared.
6They looked to him and grew radiant;
their faces will never blush for shame.
7This poor man cried; Adonai heard
and saved him from all his troubles.
8The angel of Adonai, who encamps
around those who fear him, delivers them.
9Taste, and see that Adonai is good.
How blessed are those who take refuge in him!
10Fear Adonai, you holy ones of his,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
11Young lions can be needy, they can go hungry,
but those who seek Adonai lack nothing good.
12Come, children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of Adonai.
13Which of you takes pleasure in living?
Who wants a long life to see good things?
14[If you do,] keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from deceiving talk;
15turn from evil, and do good;
seek peace, go after it!
16The eyes of Adonai watch over the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry.
17But the face of Adonai opposes those who do evil,
to cut off all memory of them from the earth.
18[The righteous] cried out, and Adonai heard,
and he saved them from all their troubles.
19Adonai is near those with broken hearts;
he saves those whose spirit is crushed.
20The righteous person suffers many evils,
but Adonai rescues him out of them all.
21He protects all his bones;
not one of them gets broken.
22Evil will kill the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
23But Adonai redeems his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
