Leviticus 24
24
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 2Command the children of Israel that they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to light the lamp continually. 3Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron dress it from evening to morning before Jehovah continually: it is an everlasting statute throughout your generations. 4Upon the pure candlestick shall he arrange the lamps before Jehovah continually. 5And thou shalt take fine wheaten flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two tenths. 6And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah. 7And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row; and it shall be a bread of remembrance, an offering by fire to Jehovah. 8Every sabbath day he shall arrange it before Jehovah continually, on the part of the children of Israel: it is an everlasting covenant. 9And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of Jehovah's offerings by fire: it is an everlasting statute.
10And the son of an Israelitish woman — but withal the son of an Egyptian, — went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelitess and a man of Israel strove together in the camp; 11and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. 12And they confined him, that they might decide at the mouth of Jehovah. 13And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 14Lead the reviler outside the camp; and all that heard him shall lay their hands upon his head, and the whole assembly shall stone him. 15And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Every one when he revileth his God#GodHebrew: Elohim shall bear his sin. 16And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death. 17And if any one smiteth any man mortally, he shall certainly be put to death. 18And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life. 19And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour, as he hath done, so shall it be done to him; 20breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him. 21He that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good; and he that smiteth a man mortally shall be put to death. 22Ye shall have one law: as the stranger, so the home-born; for I am Jehovah your God#GodHebrew: Elohim 23And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led the reviler outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Care of the Tabernacle Lamps
1Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2#Ex. 27:20, 21“Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually. 3Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron shall be in charge of it from evening until morning before the Lord continually; it shall be a statute forever in your generations. 4He shall be in charge of the lamps on #Ex. 25:31; 31:8; 37:17the pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually.

5“And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve #Ex. 25:30; 39:36; 40:23cakes with it. The Penalty for Blasphemy
10Now the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and this Israelite woman’s son and a man of Israel fought each other in the camp. 11And the Israelite woman’s son #Ex. 22:28blasphemed the name of the Lord and #Job 1:5, 11, 22; Is. 8:21cursed; and so they #Ex. 18:22, 26brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.) 12Then they #Num. 15:34put him in custody, #Num. 27:5that the mind of the Lord might be shown to them.
13And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 14“Take outside the camp him who has cursed; then let all who heard him #Deut. 13:9; 17:7lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
15“Then you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Whoever curses his God #Lev. 20:17; Num. 9:13shall bear his sin. 16And whoever #Ex. 20:7; 1 Kin. 21:10, 13; (Matt. 12:31; Mark 3:28, 29)blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall be put to death.
17#Gen. 9:6; Ex. 21:12; Num. 35:30, 31; Deut. 19:11, 12; 27:24‘Whoever kills any man shall surely be put to death. 18#Lev. 24:21Whoever kills an animal shall make it good, animal for animal.
19‘If a man causes disfigurement of his neighbor, as #Ex. 21:24he has done, so shall it be done to him— 20fracture for #Ex. 21:23; Deut. 19:21fracture, #(Matt. 5:38, 39)eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has caused disfigurement of a man, so shall it be done to him. 21And whoever kills an animal shall restore it; but whoever kills a man shall be put to death. 22You shall have #Ex. 12:49; Lev. 19:33–37; Num. 9:14; 15:15, 16, 29the same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God.’ ”
23Then Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they took outside the camp him who had cursed, and stoned him with stones. So the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.
