There really is a devil, and he seeks to devour men and women by turning them away from the hope of the Gospel. But the surest defense against Him is a firm understanding of what Christ has done for us. We were sinners, but he forgave us through His shed blood, He intercedes for us even now, and is preparing a place for us to live with Him forever.
