Psalms 61
61
A Prayer for Protection#Ps 61 Hebrew title: By David.
1Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer!
2In despair and far from home
I call to you!
Take me to a safe refuge,
3for you are my protector,
my strong defence against my enemies.
4Let me live in your sanctuary all my life;
let me find safety under your wings.
5You have heard my promises, O God,
and you have given me what belongs to those who honour you.
6Add many years to the king's life;
let him live on and on!
7May he rule for ever in your presence, O God;
protect him with your constant love and faithfulness.
8So I will always sing praises to you,
as I offer you daily what I have promised.

Tehillim (Psa) 61
61
1For the leader. With stringed instruments. By David:
2Hear my cry, God;
listen to my prayer.
3From the end of the earth, with fainting heart,
I call out to you.
Set me down on a rock
far above where I am now.
4For you have been a refuge for me,
a tower of strength in the face of the foe.
5I will live in your tent forever
and find refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Selah)
6For you, God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
7Prolong the life of the king!
May his years go on for many generations.
8May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever!
Appoint grace and truth to preserve him!
9Then I will sing praise to your name forever,
as day after day I fulfill my vows.
