Psalms 131
131
A Prayer of Humble Trust#Ps 131 Hebrew title: By David.
1 LORD, I have given up my pride
and turned away from my arrogance.
I am not concerned with great matters
or with subjects too difficult for me.
2Instead, I am content and at peace.
As a child lies quietly in its mother's arms,
so my heart is quiet within me.
3Israel, trust in the LORD
now and for ever!

PSALM 131
A Song of degrees. Of David.
1Jehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in great matters, and in things too wonderful for me. 2Surely I have restrained and composed my soul, like a weaned child with its mother: my soul within me is as a weaned child. 3Let Israel hope in Jehovah, from henceforth and for evermore.
