Psalms 130

A Prayer for Help
1From the depths of my despair I call to you, LORD.
2Hear my cry, O Lord;
listen to my call for help!
3If you kept a record of our sins,
who could escape being condemned?
4But you forgive us,
so that we should stand in awe of you.
5I wait eagerly for the LORD's help,
and in his word I trust.
6I wait for the Lord
more eagerly than watchmen wait for the dawn —
than watchmen wait for the dawn.
7Israel, trust in the LORD,
because his love is constant
and he is always willing to save.

from all their sins.

Tehillim 130
130
(Shir HaMa'alot)
1Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, Hashem.
2Adonoi, hear my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my techinnot (supplications).
3If Thou, Hashem, shouldest record iniquities, Adonoi, who could stand?
4But there is selichah (forgiveness) with Thee; therefore, Thou art feared.
5I wait for Hashem, my nefesh doth wait, and in His Devar do I hope.
6My nefesh waiteth for Adonoi more than the shomrim that watch for the boker; I say, more than the shomrim that watch for the boker.
7Let Yisroel hope in Hashem; for with Hashem there is chesed, and with Him is plenteous pedut (redemption).
8And He shall redeem Yisroel from all his iniquities.
