II Peter 2:9

Shortly after writing his first letter, Peter hears word of false teaching spreading amongst the churches in Asia Minor. The letter focuses on combating false teachers and encouraging believers to grow in spiritual maturity by studying the Scriptures. Second Peter reminds us to be diligent in confirming our calling by cultivating Christ-likeness in all aspects of our lives.

Jesus introduces the powerful concept of soul rest in Matthew 11. This is not simply emotional, physical or mental rest. It goes much deeper and impacts our entire life.
