The Voice of God in a Great Storm
A Psalm of David.
1 # 1 Chr 16.28, 29; Ps 96.7–9 Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,#29.1 Heb sons of gods
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 # 2 Chr 20.21 Ascribe to the Lord the glory of his name;
worship the Lord in holy splendor.
3 # Job 37.4, 5 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord, over mighty waters.
4 # Ps 68.33 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 # Isa 2.13 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
6 # Deut 3.9; Ps 114.4 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf
and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
