Ḥazon (Revelation) 9
9
1And the fifth messenger sounded, and I saw a star from the heaven which had fallen to the earth. And the key to the pit of the deep was given to him.
2And he opened the pit of the deep, and smoke went up out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun was darkened, also the air, because of the smoke of the pit.
3And out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth, and authority was given to them as the scorpions of the earth possess authority.
4And it was said to them that they shall not harm the grass of the earth, or any green matter, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of Elohim upon their foreheads.
5And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but to torture them for five months. And their torture was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a man.
6And in those days men shall seek death and shall not find it. And they shall long to die, but death shall flee from them.
7And the locusts looked like horses prepared for battle, and on their heads were crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.
8And they had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.
9And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots of many horses running into battle.
10And they have tails like scorpions, and stings. And in their tails is their authority to harm men five months.
11And they have over them a sovereign, the messenger of the pit of the deep, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apolluon.
12The first woe is past. See, two woes are still coming after this.
13And the sixth messenger sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden slaughter-place which is before Elohim,
14saying to the sixth messenger who had the trumpet, “Release the four messengers, those having been bound at the great river Euphrates.”
15And the four messengers, those having been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.
16And the number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million, and I heard the number of them.
17And this is how I saw the horses in the vision and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, and hyacinth blue, and sulphur yellow. And the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, and smoke, and sulphur.
18A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the sulphur which came out of their mouths.
19For the authority of the horses is in their mouth and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents, having heads. And with them they do harm.
20And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship the demons, and idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood, which are neither able to see, nor to hear, nor to walk.#Psa. 115:4-7; Psa. 135:15-17; Dan. 5:23
21And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their drug sorceries, nor of their whoring, nor of their thefts.

Revelation 9
9
1#Rev 8:10; Lk 8:31; Rev 1:18The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. The star was given the key to the bottomless pit. 2#Ge 19:28; Joel 2:10He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke ascended from the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace. The sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit. 3#Eze 2:6; Rev 9:5And out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. Power was given them as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4#Rev 6:6; 8:7They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5#Rev 9:10; 9:3They were given authority, not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. 6#Jer 8:3; Rev 6:16In those days men will seek death but will not find it. They will desire to die, but death will elude them.
7#Da 7:8; Na 3:17The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were something like crowns of gold, and their faces were like faces of men. 8#Joel 1:6They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were likethe teeth of lions. 9#Job 39:25They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running to battle. 10#Rev 9:5; 9:3They had tails like scorpions and stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men for five months. 11#Eph 2:2They had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek his name is Apollyon.#Or Destroyer.
12#Rev 11:14The first woe is past. Now, two more woes are yet to come.
13The sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14#Rev 16:12saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River.” 15#Rev 8:7; 9:18And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16#Rev 7:4; Ps 68:17The army of horsemen numbered two hundred million. I heard their number.
17#Rev 9:18; 14:10Thus I saw the horses in the vision: Those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire and smoke and brimstone. 18#Rev 9:15; 9:17A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues—by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone, which came out of their mouths. 19The power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, with heads by which they inflict injury.
20#Da 5:23; Dt 31:29The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not cease to worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which cannot see nor hear nor walk. 21#Rev 17:2; 17:5Nor did they repent of their murders or their magical arts or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
