Shemoth (Exodus) 31
31
1And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
2“See, I have called by name Betsal’ĕl son of Uri, son of Ḥur, of the tribe of Yehuḏah,
3and I have filled him with the Spirit of Elohim in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work,
4to make designs for work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze,
5and in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, and to work in all work.
6And I, look I have appointed with him Oholiaḇ son of Aḥisamaḵ, of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the hearts of everyone who is wise-hearted, and they shall make all that I have commanded you:
7the Tent of Appointment, and the ark of the Witness and the lid of atonement that is on it, and all the utensils of the Tent,
8and the table and its utensils, and the clean gold lampstand with all its utensils, and the slaughter-place of incense,
9and the slaughter-place of ascending offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand,
10and the woven garments, and the set-apart garments for Aharon the priest and the garments of his sons, for serving as priests,
11and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the Set-apart Place. According to all that I have commanded you, they are to do.”
12And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
13And you, speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign#See also Eze. 20:12;Eze. 20:20 between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, יהוה, am setting you apart.
14‘And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you. Everyone who profanes it shall certainly be put to death, for anyone who does work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people.
15‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to יהוה. Everyone doing work on the Sabbath day shall certainly be put to death.
16‘And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall guard the Sabbath, to perform the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.
17‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’ĕl it is a sign forever. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”
18And when He had ended speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Mosheh two tablets of the Witness, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.

Workers to make the Tent of the LORD's Presence
(Ex 35.30—36.1)
1The LORD said to Moses, 2“I have chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri and grandson of Hur, from the tribe of Judah, 3and I have filled him with my power.#31.3 power; or spirit. I have given him understanding, skill, and ability for every kind of artistic work — 4for planning skilful designs and working them in gold, silver, and bronze; 5for cutting jewels to be set; for carving wood; and for every other kind of artistic work. 6I have also selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, to work with him. I have also given great ability to all the other skilled workers, so that they can make everything I have commanded to be made: 7the Tent of my presence, the Covenant Box and its lid, all the furnishings of the Tent, 8the table and its equipment, the lampstand of pure gold and all its equipment, the altar for burning incense, 9the altar for burnt offerings and all its equipment, the washbasin and its base, 10the magnificent priestly garments for Aaron and his sons to use when they serve as priests, 11the anointing oil, and the sweet-smelling incense for the Holy Place. In making all these things, they are to do exactly as I have commanded you.”
Sabbath, the Day of Rest
12The LORD commanded Moses 13to say to the people of Israel, “Keep the Sabbath, my day of rest, because it is a sign between you and me for all time to come, to show that I, the LORD, have made you my own people. 14You must keep the day of rest, because it is sacred. Whoever does not keep it, but works on that day, is to be put to death. 15#Ex 20.8–11; 23.12; 34.21; 35.2; Lev 23.3; Deut 5.12–14You have six days in which to do your work, but the seventh day is a solemn day of rest dedicated to me. Whoever does any work on that day is to be put to death. 16The people of Israel are to keep this day as a sign of the covenant. 17#Ex 20.11It is a permanent sign between the people of Israel and me, because I, the LORD, made heaven and earth in six days, and on the seventh day I stopped working and rested.”
18When God had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two stone tablets on which God himself had written the commandments.
