Shemoth (Exodus) 29
29
1And this is the task you shall do to them to set them apart to serve Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams, perfect ones,”
2and unleavened bread, and unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil – make these of wheat flour.
3“And you shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, along with the bull and the two rams.
4“Then you shall bring Aharon and his sons to the door of the Tent of Appointment, and wash them with water.
5“And you shall take the garments, and shall put on Aharon the long shirt, and the robe of the shoulder garment, and the shoulder garment, and the breastplate, and shall gird him with the embroidered band of the shoulder garment,
6and shall put the turban on his head, and shall put the set-apart sign of dedication on the turban,
7and shall take the anointing oil, and pour it on his head and anoint him.
8Then you shall bring his sons and put long shirts on them,”
9and shall gird them with girdles – Aharon and his sons – and put the turbans on them. And the priesthood shall be theirs for an everlasting law. So you shall ordain Aharon and his sons.
10“And you shall bring near the bull before the Tent of Appointment, and Aharon and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.
11And you shall slay the bull before יהוה, by the door of the Tent of Appointment,”
12and take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the slaughter-place with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the slaughter-place.
13“And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the appendage on the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the slaughter-place.
14“But the flesh of the bull, and its skin and its dung, you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.
15“And take one ram, and Aharon and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram,
16and you shall slay the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the slaughter-place.
17“And cut the ram in pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and place them upon its pieces and on its head.
18“And you shall burn the entire ram on the slaughter-place. It is an ascending offering to יהוה, it is a sweet fragrance, an offering made by fire to יהוה.
19And you shall take the second ram, and Aharon and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram,”
20and you shall slay the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aharon and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the slaughter-place.
21“And you shall take some of the blood that is on the slaughter-place, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aharon and on his garments, on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him. And he and his garments shall be set-apart, and his sons and the garments of his sons with him.
22And you shall take the fat of the ram, and the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails, and the appendage on the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right thigh – it is for a ram of ordination - ”
23and one loaf of bread, and one cake made with oil, and one thin cake from the basket of the unleavened bread that is before יהוה.
24“And you shall put all these in the hands of Aharon and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them – a wave offering before יהוה.
25“Then you shall take them from their hands and burn them on the slaughter-place as an ascending offering, as a sweet fragrance before יהוה. It is an offering made by fire to יהוה.
26“And you shall take the breast of the ram of Aharon’s ordination and wave it – a wave offering before יהוה, and it shall be your portion.
27“And from the ram of ordination you shall set apart the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the contribution which is raised, of that which is for Aharon and of that which is for his sons.
28“And it shall be from the children of Yisra’ĕl for Aharon and his sons by a law forever, for it is a contribution. And it is a contribution from the children of Yisra’ĕl from the slaughters of their peace offerings – their contribution to יהוה.
29“And the set-apart garments of Aharon are for his sons after him, to be anointed in them and to be ordained in them.
30“The priest from his sons in his place, puts them on for seven days, when he enters the Tent of Appointment to attend in the set-apart place.
31“And take the ram of ordination and cook its flesh in a set-apart place.
32“And Aharon and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the Tent of Appointment,
33“and they shall eat those offerings with which the atonement was made, to ordain them, to set them apart. But let a stranger not eat them, because they are set-apart.
34“And if any of the flesh of the ordination offerings, or of the bread, be left over until the morning, then you shall burn up what is left over. It is not eaten, because it is set-apart.
35And so you shall do to Aharon and his sons, according to all I have commanded you. Seven days you shall ordain them,”
36and prepare a bull each day as a sin offering for atonement. And you shall cleanse the slaughter-place when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to set it apart.
37“For seven days you shall make atonement for the slaughter-place, and set it apart. And the slaughter-place shall be most set-apart – whatever touches the slaughter-place is to be set-apart.
38“And this is what you prepare on the slaughter-place: two lambs, a year old, daily, continually.
39“Prepare the one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb you prepare between the evenings,
40and one-tenth of an ĕphah of flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of pressed oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering, with the one lamb.
41And prepare the other lamb between the evenings. And with it prepare the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet fragrance, an offering made by fire to יהוה - ”
42a continual ascending offering for your generations at the door of the Tent of Appointment before יהוה, where I shall meet with you to speak with you.
43“And there I shall meet with the children of Yisra’ĕl, and it shall be set apart by My esteem.
44“And I shall set apart the Tent of Appointment and the slaughter-place. And Aharon and his sons I set apart to serve as priests to Me.
45“And I shall dwell in the midst of the children of Yisra’ĕl and shall be their Elohim.
46“And they shall know that I am יהוה their Elohim, who brought them up out of the land of Mitsrayim, to dwell in their midst. I am יהוה their Elohim.

Exodus 29
29
1 "But you shall also do this, so that they may be consecrated to me in the priesthood: Take a calf from the herd, and two immaculate rams,
2 and unleavened bread, and a crust without leaven that has been sprinkled with oil, likewise, unleavened cakes smeared with oil. You shall make them all from the same wheat flour.
3 And, having placed them in baskets, you shall offer them, along with the calf and the two rams.
4 And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons, to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. And when you will have washed the father with his sons in water,
5 you shall clothe Aaron in his vestments, that is, with the linen, and the tunic, and the ephod, and the breastplate, which you shall draw together with the wide belt.
6 And you shall place the headdress on his head and the holy plate upon the headdress.
7 And you shall pour the oil of unction over his head. And so, by this rite, he shall be consecrated.
8 Likewise, you shall bring forward his sons, and you shall clothe them in the linen tunics, and wrap them with the wide belt:
9 Aaron, certainly, as well as his sons. And you shall impose headdresses upon them. And they shall be priests to me by a perpetual ordinance. After you have initiated their hands,
10 you shall bring forward also the calf, in the presence of the tabernacle of the testimony. And Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon its head.
11 And you shall sacrifice it in the sight of the Lord, beside the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.
12 And taking some of the blood of the calf, you shall place it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, but the remainder of the blood you shall pour next to its base.
13 And you shall take all the fat which covers its intestines, and the mesh of the liver, as well as the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and you shall offer them as a burnt offering upon the altar.
14 Yet truly, the flesh of the calf, and the hide and the dung, you shall burn outside, beyond the camp, because it is for sin.
15 Likewise, you shall take one ram, and upon its head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.
16 And when you will have sacrificed it, you shall take from its blood and pour it around the altar.
17 Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and, having washed its intestines and feet, you shall place these upon the cut-up flesh and upon its head.
18 And you shall offer the entire ram as a burnt offering upon the altar. It is an oblation to the Lord, a most sweet odor of the victim of the Lord.
19 Likewise, you shall take the other ram, upon whose head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.
20 And when you will have immolated it, you shall take of its blood, and place it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and his sons, and on the thumbs and big toes of their right hand and right foot, and you shall pour the blood upon the altar, all around.
21 And when you have taken from the blood that is on the altar, and from the oil of unction, you shall sprinkle Aaron and his vestment, his sons and their vestments. And after they and their vestments have been consecrated,
22 you shall take the fat of the ram, and the rump, and the lard that covers the internal organs, and the mesh of the liver, and the two kidneys along with the fat that is on them, and the right shoulder, because it is the ram of consecration,
23 and one turn of bread, a crust sprinkled with oil, and a cake from the basket of unleavened bread, which was placed in the sight of the Lord.
24 And you shall place all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and you shall sanctify them, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord.
25 And you shall take all these things from their hands and burn them upon the altar as a holocaust, as a most sweet odor in the sight of the Lord, because it is his oblation.
26 Likewise, you shall take the chest of the ram, with which Aaron was initiated, and you shall sanctify it, lifting it up in the sight of the Lord, and it will fall to your share.
27 And you shall sanctify both the consecrated chest and the shoulder that you separated from the ram,
28 with which Aaron was initiated with his sons, and these will fall to the share of Aaron and his sons, as a perpetual oath by the sons of Israel. For these are the greatest and the first of their victims of peace, which they offer to the Lord.
29 But the holy vestment, which Aaron shall use, his sons shall possess after him, so that they may be anointed in it and their hands may be consecrated.
30 For seven days, he who is high priest in his place and who enters the tabernacle of the testimony to minister in the Sanctuary shall use it.
31 But you shall take the ram of consecration and cook its flesh in the holy place.
32 And Aaron and his sons shall feed on it. Likewise, the loaves which are in the basket, they shall consume in the vestibule of the tabernacle of the testimony,
33 so that it may be an appeasing sacrifice, and so that the hands of those who offer may be sanctified. A stranger shall not eat from these, for they are holy.
34 And what may remain until morning, of the consecrated flesh or of the bread, you shall burn these remnants with fire. These shall not be eaten, because they have been sanctified.
35 All that I have instructed you concerning Aaron and his sons, you shall do. For seven days shall you consecrate their hands,
36 and you shall offer a calf for sin on each day, as an atonement. And you shall cleanse the altar when you will have immolated the victim of expiation, and you shall anoint it for sanctification.
37 For seven days, you shall expiate and sanctify the altar, and it shall be the Holy of holies. All those who will touch it must be sanctified.
38 This is what you shall acquire for the altar: Two one-year-old lambs, each day continually,
39 one lamb in the morning, and the other in the evening;
40 for the one lamb, a tenth part of fine flour sprinkled with crushed oil, which shall have the measure of the fourth part of a hin, and wine for a libation, of the same measure;
41 truly, the other lamb you shall offer in the evening, according to the ritual of the morning oblation, and according to what we have said, as an odor of sweetness.
42 It is a sacrifice to the Lord, by a perpetual oblation among your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord, where I resolve to speak to you.
43 And there I will instruct the sons of Israel, and the altar shall be sanctified by my glory.
44 I will also sanctify the tabernacle of the testimony with the altar, and Aaron with his sons, to exercise the priesthood for me.
45 And I will live in the midst of the sons of Israel, and I will be their God.
46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who led them away from the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God."
