Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 1
1
1Sha’ul, an emissary of יהושע Messiah by the desire of Elohim, to the set-apart ones who are in Ephesos, and true to Messiah יהושע:
2Favour to you and peace from Elohim our Father and the Master יהושע Messiah.
3Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master יהושע Messiah, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Messiah,
4even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be set-apart and blameless before Him, in love,#See 2Thes. 2:13
5having previously ordained us to adoption as sons through יהושע Messiah to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His desire,
6to the praise of the esteem of His favour with which He favoured us in the Beloved,
7in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of trespasses, according to the riches of His favour,
8which He has lavished on us in all wisdom and insight,
9having made known to us the secret of His desire, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Him,
10to administer at the completion of time, to gather together in one all in Messiah, both which are in the heavens and which are on earth, in Him,
11in whom also we did obtain an inheritance, being previously ordained according to the purpose of Him working all matters according to the counsel of His desire,
12for us to be the praise of His esteem – those having first trusted in Messiah,
13in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your deliverance, in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Set-apart Spirit of promise,
14who is the pledge of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His esteem.
15For this reason I too, having heard of your belief in the Master יהושע and your love for all the set-apart ones,
16do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17that the Elohim of our Master יהושע Messiah, the Father of esteem, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18the eyes of your understanding#See Luke 24:45 being enlightened, so that you know what is the expectation of His calling, and what are the riches of the esteem of His inheritance in the set-apart ones,
19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who are believing, according to the working of His mighty strength,
20which He wrought in the Messiah when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,
21far above all rule and authority and power and mastery, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22And He put all under His feet,# Psa. 8:6 and gave Him to be head over all, to the assembly,
23which is His body, the completeness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 1
1
1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus,#1:1 Some early manuscripts do not have in Ephesus. the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he#1:4,5 Or sight in love. 5 He predestined us for adoption to sonship#1:5 The Greek word for adoption to sonship is a legal term referring to the full legal standing of an adopted male heir in Roman culture. through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9he#1:8,9 Or us with all wisdom and understanding. 9 And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
11In him we were also chosen,#1:11 Or were made heirs having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
Thanksgiving and Prayer
15For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit#1:17 Or a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
