Yoḥanan Bĕt (2 John) 1
1
1The elder, to a chosen Kuria and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth,
2because of the truth which stays in us and shall be with us forever:
3Favour, compassion, peace be with you from Elohim the Father, and from the Master יהושע Messiah, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4I rejoiced greatly because I found some of your children walking in truth, as we received a command from the Father.
5And now I ask you, Kuria, not as though I wrote a fresh command to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another.
6And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands.#See 1John 5:3 and John 14:15 This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
7Because many who are leading astray went out into the world who do not confess יהושע Messiah as coming in the flesh. This one is he who is leading astray and the anti-messiah.
8See to yourselves, that we do not lose what we worked for, but that we might receive a complete reward.
9Everyone who is transgressing and not staying in the teaching of Messiah does not possess Elohim.#See 1Tim. 6:3 The one who stays in the teaching of Messiah possesses both the Father and the Son.#See 1John 1:3; 1John 2:22; 1John 5:20
10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house nor greet him,
11for he who greets him shares in his wicked works.
12Having much to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink, but I expect to come to you and speak face to face, so that our joy might be complete.
13The children of your chosen sister greet you. Amĕn.

2 John 1

God’s Truth and Blessings Abide Forever
1The elder. To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth—and not I alone, but also all who have come to know the truth—
2because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:
3Grace, mercy, and shalom be with us, from God the Father and from Messiah Yeshua, the Father’s Son, in truth and love!
Lovingly Walk in God’s Truth
4I was overjoyed to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we received as a commandment from the Father.
5Now I ask you, dear lady, that we love one another. It is not as though I am writing you a new command, but the one we have had from the beginning.
6Now this is love: that we walk according to His commands. This is the commandment—just as you heard from the beginning—that you walk in love.
Protect Against Messianic Pretenders
7For many deceivers have gone out into the world—those who do not acknowledge Yeshua as Messiah coming in human flesh. This one is a deceiver and the anti-messiah.
8Watch yourselves, so you do not lose what we have worked for but receive a full reward.
9Anyone who goes too far and does not remain in Messiah’s teaching does not have God. Anyone who remains in this teaching has both the Father and the Son.
10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not welcome him into your home or even give him a greeting.
11For the one greeting him shares in his evil deeds.
Brotherly Fellowship Is Joyful
12Although I have much to write to you, I don’t want to do it with paper and ink. But I hope to come to you and speak face to face, so that our joy may be full.
13The children of your chosen sister send you greetings.
