SAAMUNƆ 66:1-2

The Psalms are full of rich truth and deep emotion. The writers didn’t ignore the world around them or try to pretend their problems weren’t real. Instead, they drew from the truth they knew about God (his words, his ways, his character) to shape their worship and worldview. We have the privilege and joy of drawing from this well of truth to encourage our own souls today.

In uncertain times, anxiety, fear, and worry often take over. Our thoughts run wild with “what ifs.” But this is not where God wants us to live! This six-week devotional will refocus your attention on Scripture and remind you of God’s promises of peace, rest, and assurance when you trust Him for what you cannot see.

As we praise God today, let's keep in mind the heavenly worship service we'll one day take part in: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain . . . !” (see Revelation 5:11-12). Here's how we praise, says Charles Spurgeon: “We simply say what [God] is! ‘You are this and You are that.’ There is no other praise.” Why not invite friends and family to “join the chorus” with you?

This reading plan examines six mindsets that hurt rather than heal. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The mind is the enemy's battlefield; owning this space is crucial to finding healing and wholeness.
