2 Timothy 4
4
1When Christ Jesus comes as king, he will be the judge of everyone, whether they are living or dead. So with God and Christ as witnesses, I command you 2to preach God's message. Do it willingly, even if it isn't the popular thing to do. You must correct people and point out their sins. But also cheer them up, and when you instruct them, always be patient. 3The time is coming when people won't listen to good teaching. Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling them only what they are itching to hear. 4They will turn from the truth and eagerly listen to senseless stories. 5But you must stay calm and be willing to suffer. You must work hard, telling the good news and to do your job well.
6Now the time has come for me to die. My life is like a drink offering#4.6 drink offering: Water or wine was sometimes poured out as an offering when an animal sacrifice was made. being poured out on the altar. 7I have fought well. I have finished the race, and I have been faithful. 8So a crown will be given to me for pleasing the Lord. He judges fairly, and on the day of judgment he will give a crown to me and to everyone else who wants him to appear with power.

13 #
Ac 20.6. When you come, bring the coat I left at Troas with Carpus. Don't forget to bring the scrolls, especially the ones made of leather.#4.13 the ones made of leather: A scroll was a kind of rolled up book, and it could be made out of paper (called “papyrus”) or leather (that is, animal skin) or even copper.

1 Ti 1.20;
Ps 62.12; Ro 2.6. Alexander, the metalworker, has hurt me in many ways. But the Lord will pay him back for what he has done. 15Alexander opposes what we preach, so you had better watch out for him.
16When I was first put on trial, no one helped me. In fact, everyone deserted me. I hope it won't be held against them. 17But the Lord stood beside me. He gave me the strength to tell his full message, so that all Gentiles would hear it. And I was kept safe from hungry lions. 18#4 Macc 18.24. The Lord will always keep me from being harmed by evil, and he will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. Praise him forever and ever! Amen.

2 Timothy 4
4
1I solemnly charge you—in the presence of God and Messiah Yeshua, who is about to judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom—
2proclaim the Word! Be ready when it is convenient or inconvenient. Confront, rebuke, encourage—with complete patience and instruction.
3For the time will come when they will not put up with sound instruction, but they will pile up for themselves teachers in keeping with their own desires, to have their ears tickled.
4And they will turn away from hearing the truth and wander off to myths.
5You, however, keep a clear mind in all things, withstand hardship, do the work of proclaiming the Good News, and fulfill your service.
Finishing the Fight, Receiving the Crown
6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.
7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
8In the future there is reserved for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not to me only, but also to everyone who has longed for His appearing.
9Do all you can to come to me quickly—
10for Demas, having loved this world, has deserted me and gone to Thessolonica; Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.
11Luke is the only one with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
12I have sent Tychius to Ephesus.
13When you come, bring the cloak which I left with Carpus in Troas, along with the scrolls, and especially the parchments.
14Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm—the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.
15Be on guard against him too, for he vehemently opposed our message.
16At my first defense, no one stood by me; instead, they all deserted me—may it not be counted against them!
17But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be proclaimed in full measure, and all the nations might hear—and I was rescued from the lion’s mouth!
18The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and will deliver me safely into His heavenly Kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Final Greetings
19Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus.
21Do all you can to come before winter. Eubulus sends you greetings, as do Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers and sisters.
22The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
