Leviticus 7

Repayment Offerings
1The following are the regulations for repayment offerings, which are very holy. 2The animal for this offering is to be killed on the north side of the altar, where the animals for the burnt offerings are killed, and its blood is to be thrown against all four sides of the altar. 3All its fat shall be removed and offered on the altar: the fat tail, the fat covering the internal organs, 4the kidneys and the fat on them, and the best part of the liver. 5The priest shall burn all the fat on the altar as a food offering to the LORD. It is a repayment offering. 6Any male of the priestly families may eat it, but it must be eaten in a holy place, because it is very holy.
7There is one regulation that applies to both the sin offering and the repayment offering: the meat belongs to the priest who offers the sacrifice. 8The skin of an animal offered as a burnt offering belongs to the priest who offers the sacrifice. 9Every grain offering that has been baked in an oven or prepared in a pan or on a griddle belongs to the priest who has offered it to God. 10But all uncooked grain offerings, whether mixed with oil or dry, belong to all the Aaronite priests and must be shared equally among them.
Fellowship Offerings
11The following are the regulations for the fellowship offerings presented to the LORD. 12If a man makes this offering as a thank-offering to God, he shall present, together with the animal to be sacrificed, an offering of bread made without yeast: either thick loaves made of flour mixed with olive oil or biscuits brushed with olive oil or cakes made of flour mixed with olive oil. 13In addition, he shall offer loaves of bread baked with yeast. 14He shall present one part of each kind of bread as a special contribution to the LORD; it belongs to the priest who takes the blood of the animal and throws it against the altar. 15The flesh of the animal must be eaten on the day it is sacrificed; none of it may be left until the next morning.
16If a man brings a fellowship offering in fulfilment of a vow or as his own freewill offering, not all of it has to be eaten on the day it is offered, but any that is left over may be eaten on the following day. 17Any meat that still remains on the third day must be burnt. 18If any of it is eaten on the third day, God will not accept the man's offering. The offering will not be counted to his credit but will be considered unclean, and whoever eats it will suffer the consequences. 19If the meat comes into contact with anything ritually unclean, it must not be eaten, but must be burned.
Anyone who is ritually clean may eat the meat, 20but if anyone who is not clean eats it, he shall no longer be considered one of God's people. 21Also, if anyone eats the meat of this offering after he has touched anything ritually unclean, whether from a man or an animal, he shall no longer be considered one of God's people.
22The LORD gave Moses the following regulations 23for the people of Israel. No fat of cattle, sheep, or goats shall be eaten. 24The fat of an animal that has died a natural death or has been killed by a wild animal must not be eaten, but it may be used for any other purpose. 25Anyone who eats the fat of an animal that may be offered as a food offering to the LORD will no longer be considered one of God's people. 26#Gen 9.4; Lev 17.10–14; 19.26; Deut 12.16, 23; 15.23No matter where the Israelites live, they must never use the blood of birds or animals for food. 27Anyone who breaks this law will no longer be considered one of God's people.
28The LORD gave Moses the following regulations 29for the people of Israel. Whoever offers a fellowship offering must bring part of it as a special gift to the LORD, 30bringing it with his own hands as a food offering. He shall bring the fat of the animal with its breast and present it as a special gift to the LORD. 31The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall belong to the priests. 32The right hind leg of the animal shall be given as a special contribution 33to the priest who offers the blood and the fat of the fellowship offering. 34The breast of the animal is a special gift, and the right hind leg is a special contribution that the LORD has taken from the people of Israel and given to the priests. This is what the people of Israel must give to the priests for all time to come. 35This is the part of the food offered to the LORD that was given to Aaron and his sons on the day they were ordained as priests. 36On that day the LORD commanded the people of Israel to give them this part of the offering. It is a regulation that the people of Israel must obey for all time to come.
37These, then, are the regulations for the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, the sin offerings, the repayment offerings, the ordination offerings, and the fellowship offerings. 38There on Mount Sinai in the desert, the LORD gave these commands to Moses on the day he told the people of Israel to make their offerings.

Leviticus 7

The Law of the Guilt Offering
1#Lev 5:1–6; 5:14–6:7Likewise this is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy. 2#Lev 1:5; 1:11In the place where they kill the burnt offering they shall kill the guilt offering, and its blood shall he sprinkle on the sides of the altar. 3#Ex 29:13; Lev 3:15–16He shall offer all the fat. The fatty tail and the fat that covers the entrails, 4and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the appendage that is above the liver, along with the kidneys, he shall take away. 5And the priest shall burn them on the altar for a food offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a guilt offering. 6#Lev 6:29; 2:3Every male among the priests shall eat from it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy.
7#Lev 6:25–26; 14:13As the sin offering, so is the guilt offering; there is one law for them: the priest who makes atonement shall have it. 8The priest who offers anyone’s burnt offering shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering that he has offered. 9#Lev 2:10; Nu 18:9Every grain offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in a pan or griddle shall be for the priest who offers it. 10And every grain offering, whether mixed with oil or dry, shall be equally shared among all the sons of Aaron.
The Law of Peace Offerings
11This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that a person shall offer to the Lord.
12#Lev 2:4; Nu 6:15If he gives it as a thanksgiving offering, then he shall offer with the thanksgiving sacrifice unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil, and cakes of wheat flour mixed with olive oil. 13#Am 4:5; Lev 23:17Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings. 14#Nu 18:19; Ex 29:27–28From this he shall offer one loaf from each offering, as a gift to the Lord. It shall be for the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. 15The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.
16#Lev 19:5–8; Dt 12:6But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next day also the remainder of it can be eaten. 17#Ex 12:10But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned up with fire. 18#Lev 19:7–8; 11:41If any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten at all on the third day, the one eating shall not be accepted, nor shall it be imputed to him who offers it. It shall be contaminated, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
19The flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten. It shall be burned up with fire. And as for the other flesh, all who are ritually clean can eat of it. 20But the person who eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that belong to the Lord, and who has any uncleanness on him, that individual shall be cut off from his people. 21#Lev 5:2–3; 11:10–13Moreover the person who shall touch any unclean thing, whether the uncleanness of man or any unclean beast or any detestable unclean creature, and then eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the Lord, that individual shall be cut off from his people.
Eating Fat and Blood Forbidden
22The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23#Lev 3:16–17Speak to the children of Israel, saying: You shall not eat any fat of an ox, a sheep, or a goat. 24#Ex 22:31; Lev 17:15The fat of an animal that dies of itself and the fat of that which is torn by beasts may be used in any other way, but you shall certainly not eat of it. 25For whoever eats the fat of an animal that is a food offering made by fire to the Lord, that individual shall be cut off from his people. 26#Ge 9:4; Lev 3:17Moreover you shall not eat any manner of blood, whether from a fowl or animal, in any of your dwellings. 27Whoever eats any manner of blood, that individual shall be cut off from his people.
The Priests’ Share
28The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 29Speak to the children of Israel, saying: He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the Lord shall bring his sacrifice to the Lord from his peace offerings. 30#Nu 6:20; Lev 3:3–4His own hands shall bring the food offerings of the Lord made by fire, the fat with the breast that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the Lord. 31#Lev 3:5; 3:11The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be for Aaron and his sons. 32#Lev 7:34; 9:21The right thigh you shall give to the priest for a contribution offering for the sacrifice of your peace offerings. 33The one among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat shall have the right thigh for his portion. 34#Nu 18:18–19; Lev 10:14–15For the breast that is waved and the thigh that is contributed I have taken from the children of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as a perpetual portion from the children of Israel.
35This is the consecrated portion for Aaron and his sons, from the food offerings of the Lord made by fire, in the day when Moses presented them to minister as priests before the Lord, 36#Lev 8:12; 8:30which the Lord commanded that they be given this, in the day that he anointed them, from the children of Israel as a perpetual portion throughout their generations.
37#Ex 29:1This is the law of the burnt offering, of the grain offering, and of the sin offering, and of the guilt offering, and of the ordinations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings, 38#Lev 1:1–2which the Lord commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, in the day that He commanded the children of Israel to offer their offerings to the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai.
