Zaburi 134:2

Night often brings quiet, reflection, and sometimes restless thoughts. When the noise of the day fades, our minds replay conversations, worries, and unanswered questions. But Scripture shows that the night can become a powerful moment of communion with God. Midnight Contemplations explores how believers can use the stillness of the night to reflect, pray, meditate on God’s Word, and speak truth to their souls. Through the examples of the psalmists, this devotional invites you to turn late-night thoughts into intentional moments of prayer, worship, and trust in God.

Psalms 120 through 134 are known as the songs of ascent, an ancient mixtape for God’s people journeying to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. Solomon built the temple there, and the glory of God filled that place. In this plan, John Greco explores six of the songs of ascent, providing application for our modern-day journey as image-bearers of God. Scripture quotations used within the plan are taken from the NIV.
