CHAPTER 10
1These be the generations of the sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the great flood.
2The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3Forsooth the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4Forsooth the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim;
5of these sons the isles of the heathen men were parted in their countries, each by his language, and meines, in his nations.
6Soothly the sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7Forsooth the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah. The sons of Raamah were Sheba, and Dedan.
8Forsooth Cush begat Nimrod; he began to be mighty in [the] earth,
9and he was a strong hunter, or oppressor, of men before the Lord; of him a proverb went out, As Nimrod, a strong hunter before the Lord.
10Soothly the beginning of his realm was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11Asshur went out of that land, and builded Nineveh, and [the] streets of the city, and Calah,
12and Resen betwixt Nineveh and Calah; this is a great city.
13And soothly Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

22The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24And soothly Arphaxad begat Salah, of whom Eber was born.
25And two sons were born to Eber, the name to the one son was Peleg, for the land was parted in his days; and the name of his brother was Joktan.
26And that Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28and Obal, and Abimael, Sheba,
29and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

The Family Tree of Noah’s Sons
1This is the family tree of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. After the flood, they themselves had sons.
2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.
3The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.
4-5The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, Rodanim. The seafaring peoples developed from these, each in its own place by family, each with its own language.
6The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, Canaan.
7The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca.
The sons of Raamah: Sheba, Dedan.
8-12Cush also had Nimrod. He was the first great warrior on Earth. He was a great hunter before God. There was a saying, “Like Nimrod, a great hunter before God.” His kingdom got its start with Babel; then Erech, Akkad, and Calneh in the country of Shinar. From there he went up to Asshur and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and the great city Calah.
13-14Egypt was ancestor to the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim, the Pathrusim, the Casluhim (the origin of the Philistines), and the Kaphtorim.
15-19Canaan had Sidon his firstborn, Heth, the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanites spread out, going from Sidon toward Gerar, as far south as Gaza, and then east all the way over to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and on to Lasha.
20These are the descendants of Ham by family, language, country, and nation.
21Shem, the older brother of Japheth, also had sons. Shem was ancestor to all the children of Eber.
22The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, Meshech.
24-25Arphaxad had Shelah and Shelah had Eber. Eber had two sons, Peleg (so named because in his days the human race divided) and Joktan.
26-30Joktan had Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab—all sons of Joktan. Their land goes from Mesha toward Sephar as far as the mountain ranges in the east.
31These are the descendants of Shem by family, language, country, and nation.
32This is the family tree of the sons of Noah as they developed into nations. From them nations developed all across the Earth after the flood.
