The enemy rarely attacks the Word of God directly. He knows he can't destroy it. So he goes after the arm that carries it, your confidence, your strength, your willingness to keep fighting. Drawing on the picture God gave Ezekiel of Pharaoh's broken arm, this 5-day devotional is about the wounds that never properly set, the strength we go looking for in all the wrong places, and the God who heals the broken-hearted and trains our hands for war again. A broken arm cannot wield a sword. But God is in the business of setting breaks.
