Nehemiah 7:3

In this 5-day devotional, we will walk through the final chapters of Nehemiah and see what real renewal looks like. From trusting God instead of what we build, to remembering his faithfulness, to living in obedience, this plan will help you move from intention to action. You will also be reminded that while we often fall short, our hope is not in ourselves, but in Jesus.

After hearing about Jerusalem’s fallen walls, which left the city vulnerable and disgraced, Nehemiah knew that action had to be taken. But first, God needed to be sought out. Often, we are moved to “make things right,” but when we do it in our own power, we miss out on the guidance and blessing of the One who brings true restoration. Being an everyday disciple of Jesus requires involvement in a community. The Bible makes it clear that God never envisaged or allowed for lone ranger disciples.
