About James's letter
James wrote his letter to tell Christians what they should do. He also told them what they should not do. James did not write it to tell people how to become Christians. He is writing to Christians. They know that Jesus died for them. He is writing to help them to live in a way that pleases Jesus Christ. #1:0 Christ is a name for Jesus in the Greek language that means the same as Messiah in the Hebrew language. It means someone that God chose as a special king for his people.
After he had written his letter, he sent it to churches in many places. It is important for all Christians today. James was the brother of the Lord Jesus. James was also a leader of the church in Jerusalem. #1:0 Jerusalem was the capital city of Israel, the land that God gave to his people, the Israelites. The temple of God was in Jerusalem.
