Daniel 12

Mt 24.21; Mk 13.19; Rev 12.7; 16.18. “At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time; but at that time your people shall be delivered, every one whose name shall be found written in the book. 2#Mt 25.46. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3#Mt 13.43. And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4#Rev 22.10. But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
5Then I Daniel looked, and behold, two others stood, one on this bank of the stream and one on that bank of the stream. 6And I#12.6 Gk Vg: Heb he said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?” 7#Rev 4.9; 10.5; 12.14. The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives for ever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time; and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be accomplished. 8I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?” 9He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. 10Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand. 11#Dan 9.27; 11.31; Mt 24.15; Mk 13.14. And from the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. 13But go your way till the end; and you shall rest, and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.”

Dani’ĕl (Daniel) 12
12
1“Now at that time Miḵa’ĕl shall stand up, the great head who is standing over the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation, until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book,
2and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence.
3“And those who have insight shall shine like the brightness of the expanse, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.
4“But you, Dani’ĕl, hide the words, and seal the book until the time of the end.#See Dan. 12:9 Many shall diligently search and knowledge shall increase.”
5Then I, Dani’ĕl, looked and saw two others standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank.
6And one said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long until the end of these wonders?”
7And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, and he held up his right hand and his left hand to the heavens, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it would be for an appointed time, appointed times, and half a time. And when they have ended scattering the power of the set-apart people, then all these shall be completed.
8And I heard, but I did not understand, so I said, “My master, what is the latter end of these matters?”
9And he said, “Go, Dani’ĕl, for the words are hidden and sealed till the time of the end.#See Dan. 12:4
10“Many shall be cleansed and made white, and refined. But the wrong shall do wrong – and none of the wrong shall understand, but those who have insight shall understand.
11“And from the time that which is continual is taken away, and the abomination that lays waste is set up, is one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12“Blessed is he who is waiting earnestly, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13“But you, go your way till the end. And rest, and arise to your lot at the end of the days.”
