1 Thess 4.15-17. Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him, we beg you, brethren, 2#2 Thess 3.17. not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3#Eph 5.6-8; Dan 7.25; 8.25; 11.36; Rev 13.5; Jn 17.12. Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness#2.3 Other ancient authorities read sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4#Ezek 28.2. who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 5#1 Thess 3.4. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you this? 6And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 8#Is 11.4. And then the lawless one will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by his appearing and his coming. 9#Mt 24.24; Jn 4.48. The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders, 10and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11#Rom 1.28. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, 12so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thess 1.3; Eph 1.4; 1 Pet 1.2. But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning#2.13 Other ancient authorities read as the first converts to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit#2.13 Or of spirit and belief in the truth. 14To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15#1 Cor 16.13; 11.2. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.

1 Thess 3.11; 1 Pet 1.3. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.

Tas`loniqim Bĕt (2 Thessalonians) 2
2
1As to the coming of our Master יהושע Messiah and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, brothers,
2not to become easily unsettled in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as if the day of יהוה has come.
3Let no one deceive you in any way, because the falling away is to come first, and the man of lawlessness#See Dan. 11:36-39 is to be revealed, the son of destruction,
4who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called Elohim or that is worshipped, so that he sits as Elohim in the Dwelling Place of Elohim, showing himself that he is Elohim.
5Do you not remember that I told you this while I was still with you?
6And now you know what restrains, for him to be revealed in his time.
7For the secret of lawlessness is already at work – only until he who now restrains comes out of the midst.
8And then the lawless one shall be revealed, whom the Master shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth# Isa. 11:4 and bring to naught with the manifestation of His coming.
9The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power and signs and wonders of falsehood,
10and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, in order for them to be saved.
11And for this reason Elohim sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood,#See also John 9:39; John 12:40; Acts 7:42; Rom. 1:24-28
12in order that all should be judged who did not believe the truth, but have delighted in the unrighteousness.
13But we ought to give thanks to Elohim always for you, brothers, beloved by the Master, because Elohim from the beginning chose you to be saved – in set-apartness of Spirit, and belief in the truth#See Eph. 1:4
14unto which He called you by our Good News, for the obtaining of the esteem of our Master יהושע Messiah.
15So, then, brothers, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or by our letter.
16And our Master יהושע Messiah Himself, and our Elohim and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good expectation, through favour,
17encourage your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
