Psalms 131
131
Song of Quiet Trust
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
1O Lord, my heart is not lifted up,
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
too great and too marvelous for me.
2But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
my soul is like the weaned child that is with me.#131.2 Or my soul within me is like a weaned child
3O Israel, hope in the Lord
from this time on and forevermore.

Psalms 131
131
(A song by David for worship.)
Trust the Lord!
1I am not conceited, Lord,
and I don't waste my time
on impossible schemes.
2But I have learned to feel safe
and satisfied,
like a young child
in its mother's arms.
3People of Israel,
you must trust the Lord
now and forever.
