Bezalel and Oholiab
1The Lord spoke to Moses: 2See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 3and I have filled him with divine spirit,#31.3 Or with the spirit of God with ability, intelligence, and knowledge in every kind of craft, 4to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, 5in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, in every kind of craft. 6Moreover, I have appointed with him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you: 7the tent of meeting, and the ark of the covenant,#31.7 Or treaty, or testimony; Heb eduth and the mercy seat#31.7 Or the cover that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent, 8the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, 9and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its stand, 10and the finely worked vestments, the holy vestments for the priest Aaron and the vestments of his sons, for their service as priests, 11and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place. They shall do just as I have commanded you.
The Sabbath Law
12The Lord said to Moses: 13You yourself are to speak to the Israelites: “You shall keep my sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, given in order that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. 14You shall keep the sabbath, because it is holy for you; everyone who profanes it shall be put to death; whoever does any work on it shall be cut off from among the people. 15Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall be put to death. 16Therefore the Israelites shall keep the sabbath, observing the sabbath throughout their generations, as a perpetual covenant. 17It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.”
The Two Tablets of the Covenant
18When God#31.18 Heb he finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant,#31.18 Or treaty, or testimony; Heb eduth tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

The Tabernacle Artisans
Ex 35:30–35
1Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2#Ex 36:1; 35:30See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3#1Ki 7:14; Ex 35:31I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of craftsmanship 4to devise artistic works for work with gold, with silver, and with bronze, 5and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of craftsmanship. 6#Ex 28:3; 35:10I, indeed, I have given him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, and I have given skill to all who are specially skilled, that they may make everything that I have commanded you: 7#Ex 36:8–37:9the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tent, 8#Ex 37:10–28the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, 9#Ex 38:1–8the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, 10the woven garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests, 11#Ex 37:29the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. They must make them according to all that I have commanded you.
The Sabbath Law
12The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 13#Eze 20:12; 20:20Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, “You must surely keep My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
14“You shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who defiles it will surely be put to death. For whoever does any work on it, that person will be cut off from among his people. 15#Ex 16:23; Lev 23:3Six days may work be done, but on the seventh is the Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day will surely be put to death. 16Therefore the children of Israel must keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17#Ge 1:31; Ex 31:13; Ge 2:2–3It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever, for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”
18#Ex 24:12; 32:15–16When He had made an end of communing with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
