All those who insist that you be circumcised are recruiting you so they can boast in their own achievement. They seek to avoid the persecution that comes with preaching the liberating message of the cross of Messiah! Not even those who are circumcised keep every detail of the written law. Yet they push you to be circumcised so that they can boast that you have become like them. May my only boast be found in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. In him I have been crucified to this natural realm; and the natural realm is dead to me and no longer dominates my life.

Encouragement from a mom who launched her seven children and lived to tell about it. Part 4 of 12 devotions in this series from Robin Meadows.
Are you caught up in doing good deeds, but missing the gospel of faith? Are you feeling discouraged by faith based in works? Paul addresses this exact issue in Galatians and explores the foundational truth of the freedom of faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians offers a celebration of the freedom of grace and re-centers your focus on the law of love in God in three parts: the gospel of grace defined, the gospel of grace examined and the gospel of grace applied.
Life piles up. Work deadlines, family needs, finances, health struggles, church commitments—before long, it feels like the weight of the world is pressing down. As men, our instinct is to push harder, grit our teeth, and power through. But when we’re overwhelmed, God isn’t asking us to carry more—He’s inviting us to carry it differently. Let’s see what Scripture says about finding peace, strength, and perspective in the middle of the overload.
