2 Corinthians 2:8-9

In this devotional, we will walk through biblical stories of a few patriarchs who were betrayed. With each word scribed in this devotional, my hope and prayer are that you will find the strength to forgive those who have betrayed you and that you will trust that God has a plan in a plan.

Why are we working so hard? Certainly, part of our ambition is to glorify God and do good for others. But when we inevitably find ourselves in seasons of overwork, we’d be wise to ask this question: What is the work beneath our work? In this four-day plan, we’ll explore some of the most common answers to that question and look to the gospel for rest.

Most believers agree that God wants us to forgive, but you and I both know how difficult forgiveness can be to walk out. Over the next 5 days, I’m going to discuss 5 essential truths about forgiveness from God’s word. These truths will help you transfer the principle of forgiveness from your head to your heart. Today is the day to forgive. Now is the time to walk in freedom.

This study looks at grace and forgiveness because they go hand in hand. Our Almighty Father has extended grace and forgiveness to us, and so, our prompt should be to extend such grace and forgiveness to those around us. Something written so easily is not so easy in reality. May you grow in grace and forgiveness this week as we dive into God’s Word.
