For millennia, God’s people have been carrying out a weekly Bible study plan. Every year, they read through the Torah from Genesis to Deuteronomy. In synagogue each week, they read and study a Bible passage—the weekly parshah. This is a double reading, Matot-Massei, from Numbers 30:2-36:13. Matot means “Tribes” and Massei means “Journeys.”

Join us in praying for our leaders with this 8-day reading plan, featuring prayers from The One Year Pray for America Bible.

In the beginning was the Word … but what came next? This plan is for anyone who wants a better understanding of the Bible. It provides a chronological reading program that endeavors to place all biblical passages in their date order. Part One of this twelve-part one-year reading plan covers the first 2,500 years: From Perfect Creation to Slavery.

This is the fourth part of a reading plan through the Bible following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, this part of the plan will also focus on our only comfort in life and death from questions 1 & 2 of the Heidelberg Catechism.
