Numbers 8:23

Many people fear retirement because they see it as the end of productivity, identity, and influence. For clergy and Christian leaders, this concern can be even greater as familiar roles change. Yet retirement is not the end of God’s calling but a new season of purpose. This 5-day devotional helps readers view retirement through the lens of Scripture. Drawing from Biblical insights and the book Shepherding the Sunset Years for Clergy, it explores how retirement can become a season of mentorship, service, preparation, and legacy, enabling believers to continue serving God faithfully in new and meaningful ways.

In this devotional, Dr. David Mende writes that since we spend so many hours at the workplace every day, God is concerned about our work and He’s at work even as we work. He doesn’t want us to see our work as drudgery. Rather, He wants us to give our best as we work.
