Luke 20:39-44

Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you have spoken well.” And they no longer dared to ask him anything. Then he said to them, “How can they say that the Messiah is the son of David? For David himself says in the Book of Psalms: The Lord declared to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.’ David calls him ‘Lord.’ How, then, can he be his son?”
