Comparison. We all do it, but does it help us or hinder us? It’s human nature to look to others to measure our own success. Comparing where we’re at in life can help to motivate and inspire us, but it can also be destructive if we just use it to focus on our own shortcomings. Since constantly facing comparison, how can we learn to stay in our own lane?
In this devotional, we will walk through biblical stories of a few patriarchs who were betrayed. With each word scribed in this devotional, my hope and prayer are that you will find the strength to forgive those who have betrayed you and that you will trust that God has a plan in a plan.
Why are we working so hard? Certainly, part of our ambition is to glorify God and do good for others. But when we inevitably find ourselves in seasons of overwork, we’d be wise to ask this question: What is the work beneath our work? In this four-day plan, we’ll explore some of the most common answers to that question and look to the gospel for rest.
