Biola University's Center for Christianity, Culture & the Arts is pleased to share the annual Advent Project, a daily devotional series celebrating the beauty and meaning of the Advent season through art, music, poetry, prayer, Scripture, and written devotions. The project starts on the first day of Advent and continues through Epiphany. Our goal is to help individuals quiet their hearts and enter into a daily routine of worship and reflection during this meaningful but often hectic season. For Christians, the word "Advent" means the arrival of the Messiah. And this arrival was actually foretold 6,000 years ago, in Genesis 3:15. What happens to the Seed between Eden and the arrival in Bethlehem? You and your family can follow this Advent Journey in December. For 25 days leading up to Christmas, explore how 64 generations (64 families) prepared for the arrival of Jesus Christ.

In the beginning was the Word … but what came next? This plan is for anyone who wants a better understanding of the Bible. It provides a chronological reading program that endeavors to place all biblical passages in their date order. Part Four of this twelve-part one-year reading plan is titled 'Establishing the Kingdom, 1155 BC–1020 BC'.

April – No complicated content, just a monthly chronological journey through the Bible. The Bible isn’t arranged in the order events happened; it’s organized by genre. April moves from the chaos at the end of Judges into the hope of Ruth and the rise of Israel’s kings in 1 Samuel and early 2 Samuel. You’ll see God working through faithfulness and failure, raising leaders, shaping a nation, and remaining present even when His people struggle. Along the way, this month highlights God’s patience, His sovereign plan, and His steady movement toward redemption despite human weakness.
